UNC announced that freshman forward Nassir Little is suffering from flu-like symptoms, which kept him out of practice Wednesday and will keep him out again on Thursday.
As a result, Little’s status for the Tar Heels’ game on Friday in the Sweet Sixteen against Auburn is questionable.
If the Florida native were to miss the game, it would be a huge blow for UNC since he’s averaged 19.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game for the Tar Heels–and has been their most important player off the bench.
The team will need all the firepower necessary to get past Auburn, which has a record of 28-9 and is on a 10-game winning streak that includes the SEC Tournament title.
Pre-game coverage for UNC’s game begins at 6:00 p.m. on 97.9 The Hill WCHL with Countdown to Kickoff, hosted by Aaron Keck. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. and no online streaming will be available.
