Saturday marked the first loss of the season for the sixth-ranked UNC men’s tennis team, which traveled to Austin and came up on the wrong end of a 5-2 loss to the No. 8 Texas Longhorns.

The Tar Heels dropped the doubles point for the second match in a row and were ultimately forced to play from behind right from the start.

Juniors William Blumberg and Simon Soendergaard each won their singles matches to provide the only two team points UNC was able to gain during the overall team match.
