A trio of Tar Heels earned All-ACC Men’s Basketball honors on Monday for their efforts this season, led by Third Team All-ACC selection Armando Bacot.

Bacot–who led UNC in scoring with 11.7 points per game and was second in rebounding with 7.6 per game–was joined by forward Day’Ron Sharpe and point guard Caleb Love, who were each named the All-ACC Freshman Team.

Sharpe posted averages of 9.8 points and 7.8 rebounds per game off the bench in his debut season, leading the team in rebounding and winning UNC’s Defensive Player of the Game award five times.

Love averaged 10.4 points per game this season, while his 94 total assists rank first on the UNC roster. The two-time ACC Freshman of the Week also became the first Tar Heel ever to score at least 18 points and have seven assists in two games against Duke in the same season.

UNC went 16-9 overall during the regular season and 10-6 in the ACC, earning the No. 6 seed for this week’s ACC Tournament in Greensboro.

Georgia Tech’s Moses Wright was named the ACC Player of the Year and was joined on the First Team by: Duke forward Matthew Hurt, Virginia forward Sam Hauser, Pitt guard Justin Champagnie and Louisville guard Carlik Jones.
