Four of UNC’s seven wrestlers headed to the NCAA Tournament received seeds as the bracket was released.

The highest seeded Tar Heel in any weight class is All-American Ethan Ramos, who is the 4-seed at 174 pounds.

Even Henderson is the 8-seed at 149, Joey Ward is the 8-seed at 141 and John Michael Staudenmayer is the 11-seed at 165.

Ramos and Henderson look to build off their strong showing in the conference tournament. Both took home ACC championships at their weight class.

Henderson is a two-time All-American at 141, but this will be his first trip to the NCAA’s at 149.

Alex Utley, Chip Ness and Robert Henderson will also be competing.

The NCAA Wrestling Championships will take place March 17-19 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
