Tar Heels Excited To See “Second Half Marcus” Again
The Tar Heels punched a ticket to their 19th Final Four with a 88-74 victory over Notre Dame on Sunday. UNC fans gathered at the Smith Center on Wednesday afternoon to see the team off.
The North Carolina Tar Heels are the only No. 1 seed remaining in the NCAA Tournament. UNC and Syracuse have already played twice this season. In January, the Tar Heels spoiled the return of Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim. The Syracuse coach was suspended for the first 9 games of the 2015-2016 season. The Tar Heels and Orange met again in March. It was Senior Night for Carolina and the Tar Heels scored an emotional 75-70 victory.
