A solo home run from senior Dylan Enwiller in the bottom of the ninth inning on Tuesday at Boshamer Stadium gave the fifth-ranked UNC baseball team a 4-3 victory over the UNCW Seahawks.

Enwiller’s walk-off heroics also represented just the second home run of his career, as the Tar Heels won in walk-off fashion for the second time in their last four games.

The win improves UNC to 8-0 to start the 2019 campaign, while extending the team’s home winning streak to 26 games.

UNCW (4-5) took a 2-0 lead with runs in both the fourth and fifth innings. The Tar Heels came back to tie the game with a pair of runs in the bottom half of the fifth thanks to RBI hits from Jackson Hesterlee and Dylan Harris.

The Seahawks went back in front with an RBI single in the top of the seventh, but once again UNC rallied to tie it with a sacrifice fly from Ben Casparius later in the same inning.

Enwiller then stepped to the plate in the bottom of the ninth with two outs, before crushing a 3-2 pitch over the wall in left field to keep the Tar Heels undefeated.
