UNC point guard Coby White was recognized Monday as the ACC Freshman of the Week for the fifth time this season.
White scored 14 of his 21 points in the second half of Saturday’s win over then-No. 4 Duke, while also recording three assists and three blocks. The Tar Heels also defeated Boston College last Tuesday, with White scoring 11 points.
The Goldsboro native was also named a Second Team All-ACC performer on Monday for his outstanding efforts this season–recording averages of 16.3 points and 4.1 assists per game.
