UNC senior attacker Chris Gray and head coach Joe Breschi were named Wednesday as the ACC Offensive Player of the year and the ACC Coach of the Year for men’s lacrosse.
Gray led the conference with 42 goals this season and finished second in the league with 35 assists. He becomes just the second Tar Heel to ever win the ACC Offensive Player of the Year honor, joining Marcus Holman–who accomplished the feat in 2013.
Breschi, meanwhile, led his alma mater to an 11-2 record which included an ACC title and the No. 1 overall seed in the upcoming NCAA Tournament. This is his third time being recognized as ACC Coach of the Year.
The Tar Heels are scheduled to begin their quest for the program’s first national title since 2016 on Saturday, when they host Monmouth at noon.
No question he earned this one 💪🥍
