The UNC tennis teams are some of the most successful programs in Chapel Hill, and the Tar Heel men announced the fall portion of their 2021-22 schedule Monday.

After a run to the NCAA Sweet 16 this past spring, head coach Sam Paul, entering his 29th season, has constructed a challenging schedule for his team. The Tar Heels will begin play the weekend of September 17 at the Duke Invite in Cary, N.C.

The next two weekends see Carolina travel to Arkansas for the Fayetteville ITF Futures Tournament, and then play closer to home in the Elon Invitational.

The ITA All-American Championships follow to begin October. This will be the first time the All-American Championships have been played since 2019, as the 2020 tournament was cancelled due to the pandemic. ITA Regionals will be played in Cary between October 22 and October 26. The Tar Heel men’s and women’s teams will be defending their indoor ITA titles in 2021 after winning the events last season.

Finally, the Tar Heels save their most competitive tournament for last, as Carolina will travel down the road to Winston-Salem for the Wake Forest Fall Invite the weekend of November 5. The Demon Deacons finished the 2020-21 season ranked No. 12 in the country, six spots behind UNC.
