The Diamond Heels won their sixth straight game overall and 24th straight at home on Tuesday night, defeating North Carolina A&T 10-5 at Boshamer Stadium.

Gavin Gallaher collected three of Carolina’s nine hits and Parks Harber drove in four runs, two of which came on a home run in the bottom of the second inning to give UNC a 2-1 lead. After the Aggies tied it in the third, the Diamond Heels plated three in the third on a Vance Honeycutt triple, an Alberto Osuna sacrifice fly and a throwing error by the A&T shortstop.

Harber was at it again in the fifth, hitting back-to-back home runs with Osuna to increase the Carolina lead to 7-3. Three more runs scored in the sixth after Casey Cook singled to drive in Colby Wilkerson, Gallaher scored on a wild pitch and Cook came around to score on an Anthony Donofrio single. Gallaher finished 3-5 to drive his batting average up to .453. Osuna sits at .380, Cook at .362 and Harber at .310.

Seven Carolina pitchers saw action on the mound, including Matthew Matthijs, who logged two innings of perfect relief to record his 10th win of the season. No other pitcher on the staff has more than three.

The win improves the Diamond Heels to 22-4 on the season, though the team will now have to leave the friendly confines of Boshamer for seven key games away from home. First up is a three-game series at No. 12 Wake Forest, which made the College World Series semifinals in 2023. First pitch of Friday’s opener in Winston-Salem is scheduled for 6 p.m.
