Former UNC star point guard Coby White caught fire Wednesday night in the NBA, pouring in a career-high 36 points for the Chicago Bulls in a 128-124 loss on the road to the Sacramento Kings.
White made 15 of his 23 shots from the field, including a 4-for-9 mark from three-point range, as he also passed the 1,000 career point mark in just his 74th pro game. He added seven assists while committing no turnovers.
Through nine games, the seventh overall draft pick in 2019 is averaging 18.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game.
A Second Team All-Rookie selection last season, White has made his way into numerous highlight reels with his phenomenal ball-handling and shooting skills.
Last February, he also became the first Chicago Bulls rookie since Michael Jordan to score at least 30 points in three consecutive games.
