The North Carolina High School Athletic Association announced its state award winners for the 2017-18 school year on Monday, with Carrboro High School’s April Ross named the Dave Harris Athletic Director of the Year.
Ross has been at the helm of the Jaguars’ athletic department since 2008, with the school achieving great success under her leadership.
Carrboro has claimed 23 state titles and six Wells Fargo State Cups during that time, in sports such as: volleyball, boys and girls cross country, women’s track and field, women’s soccer, men’s tennis, and men’s swimming.
This achievement helps highlight the immense impact Ross has had on the school’s athletics in just a decade’s worth of work.
