The third season of the popular Netflix “Outer Banks” premiered on Thursday, and Tar Heel fans will see a familiar face. Armando Bacot makes his acting debut in a cameo appearance in the show.
Bacot first publicized the news of his upcoming appearance this past summer, when he posted photos from the show’s set in Charleston, S.C.

According to The News & Observer, Bacot’s appearance is a rather brief one. He appears in episode 8 of the third season, around the 14:30 mark, as a bodyguard.
One of the characters asks Bacot, “What do you guys catch out here?”
“Money,” Bacot replies.
That is his only line. The Tar Heel star is on screen for around two minutes.
Two of the show’s creators, Josh Pate and Shannon Burke, are UNC alumni. Bacot is a fan of the show, and he and Pate struck up a friendship, which led to Bacot coming to the set.
Now far removed from the small screen, Bacot and the Tar Heels will be back in action against No. 6 Virginia on Saturday at 6 p.m. in Chapel Hill.
