Sunday morning update: No. 3 seed Virginia Tech and ACC Player of the Year Elizabeth Kitley are in the championship game against No. 4 seed Louisville. The Hokies are seeking their 11th consecutive win and first ACC Tournament title in program history.

Saturday afternoon update: All four highest seeds advanced to the semifinals: No. 1 Notre Dame, No. 2 Duke. No. 3 Virginia Tech and No. 4 Louisville. The Cardinals demolished the Olivia Miles-less Fighting Irish in the day’s first semifinal. Carolina was eliminated in Friday’s quarterfinals, but still has a decent chance to be a host team in the upcoming NCAA Tournament.

Friday morning update: The quarterfinals are all set. No.4  Louisville will take on Cinderella No. 12 Wake Forest in the day’s first game, with three-time defending champions No. 8 NC State taking on the regular-season champions No. 1 Notre Dame in the second game of the day session. The Fighting Irish will be without the services of star point guard Olivia Miles against the Wolfpack. Miles was injured in Notre Dame’s regular-season finale.

Then comes the main event: No. 7 seed UNC taking on No. 2 seed Duke in the first game of the night session at 6 p.m. It’s the third meeting of the season for the two teams and the second in less than a week. In fact, for Duke it will be its second consecutive game against the Tar Heels, as the Blue Devils earned a double bye into the quarterfinals despite their loss to Carolina in the regular-season finale. No. 6 Miami and No. 3 Virginia Tech will round out Friday’s action.

Thursday afternoon update: An incredible comeback and upset in the second round, as No. 12 Wake Forest overcomes an 18-point halftime deficit to defeat No. 5 Florida State. The Demon Deacons outscored the Seminoles 49-20 in the second half after scoring just two points in the second quarter.

Thursday morning update: Wake Forest, Clemson and Boston College each emerged victorious from Wednesday’s first round. No. 7 seed UNC will take on No. 10 seed Clemson on Thursday evening at 6 p.m. Carolina won the only meeting with the Tigers this season, 69-58 in Littlejohn Coliseum. Kayla McPherson made her collegiate debut in the game and score eight first-half points. Thursday’s game can be seen on ACC Network.
