Kickoff times and broadcast information for the first three UNC football games in the 2023 season have been announced.

The Tar Heels will debut in front of a national television audience for a highly-anticipated matchup with South Carolina in Charlotte on September 2. That game will kick off at approximately 7:30 p.m. on ABC, and is a strong candidate to be the featured game on ESPN’s College Gameday.

Carolina’s home opener against Appalachian State on September 9 will kick off at 5:15 p.m. on ACC Network, and the third game against Minnesota in Kenan Stadium on September 16 will kick off at 3:30 p.m. on either ESPN or ESPN2. Start times for the remaining nine games of the regular season are yet to be announced.

Radio broadcasts of all of these games will be available through WCHL on 97.9 FM or 1360 AM. Per college football broadcast restrictions, you can access the stream (computer, tablet or phone) through Chapelboro.com, TuneIN or most streaming apps, but you must be within 75 miles of Chapel Hill and have your location services for your device turned on. This 75-mile rule applies only to Tar Heel Sports Network pre-game, game, and post-game broadcasts (one hour before kickoff until one and a half hours after the game ends).
