On November 14, over 125 elected officials and organizations in North Carolina crafted and signed a statement denouncing violence and hateful rhetoric against the LGBTQ+ community.
After winning the municipal elections for Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools Board of Education in November, George Griffin, Riza Jenkins and Mike Sharp were sworn into office at last week’s meeting. The CHCCS Board also elected a new chair and vice chair.
Last night Riza Jenkins, Mike Sharp and George Griffin got elected to the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools Board of Education. They spent much of the campaign working together and that didn’t change on election night.
