The Northern Durham Campus of Durham Tech will close at noon on Tuesday due to flooding road conditions.
Heavy rain has been falling across the Triangle for the better part of three days, and the North Carolina Department of Transportation has blocked access to the NDC due to conditions on Snow Hill Road, according to Durham Tech officials.
Classes after noon on Tuesday have been canceled for the remainder of the day.
Non-essential faculty and staff are being encouraged to “make arrangements to complete all work and assist all students so that all may leave by noon.”
Campus safety officials will be assisting those remaining leave the campus, according to a release.
Officials say the do expect the campus to reopen Wednesday morning.
