Multiple lanes of westbound I-40 in western Orange County are closed on Friday due to a wreck.
North Carolina Department of Transportation officials reported the wreck just before 11:40 Friday morning.
The lanes are closed due to a crash near exit 157 on I-40 west, approaching the Alamance County line.
There is no word on the cause of the crash or injuries as of 11:45 Friday. But several crashes have been reported across the Triangle on Friday while heavy rain has been falling throughout the morning.
There is also no timeline for when the lanes will be reopened.
