The railroad crossing arms were stuck in the down position with crews are working to repair them.
The issue was first reported around 7 a.m. on Tuesday by Chapel Hill Transit director Brian Litchfield.

Several Chapel Hill Transit bus routes have been rerouted because of the repairs as well.
Railroad crossing gates in downtown #Carrboro are still stuck in the down-position, causing delays/detours for @chtransit routes (CW, J & F – no service Jade Palace through Weaver St). For customers going to downtown Carrboro, buses will make stops near S. G’boro & Main/Weaver St
