Lisa Van Deman has been named Kidzu Children’s Museum’s new Executive Director and Kate Sullivan has been named the new Director of Development.
Van Deman has been the interim director since May, 2015.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to lead Kidzu into its tween years!” says Van Deman. “I’ve seen the impact a quality children’s museum can have on a community, and if our attendance at University Place is any indication, Kidzu plays an essential role in the lives of children and families throughout our area.”
Before coming to Kidzu, Sullivan worked in Los Angeles with No Bully, a San Francisco based non-profit partnering with schools and districts implementing anti-bullying systems.
“I believe in empowering our young people with social and emotional skills, says Sullivan. “All children should have the opportunity to learn, feel valued, and experience success.”
