The Orange County Board of Education voted recently to name Christine Kreider as the new principal of Hillsborough Elementary School.

Kreider is making the move from her current role of Assistant Principal of E.M. Yoder Elementary School in the Adamance-Burlington School System.

“I look forward to belonging to a school community that works together to pursue the joy of learning while maintaining high expectations for all,” Kreider said in a release. “I am really excited about the opportunity to serve in a school with such a rich history in the community.”

Kreider earned her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Pfeiffer Universiter and her Masters of Arts in Teaching Mathematics from UNC.

She started her role at Hillsborough Elementary on Monday, July 2.
