A Chapel Hill-Carrboro cat owner is offering a substantial reward to anyone who finds their pet, which has been missing for nearly two months.
The Carrboro Police Department amplified a lost pet posting on Tuesday afternoon, sharing the listing on social media. Buddy, an orange and white 8-year-old cat, was last seen on Stateside Drive on February 20. Stateside Drive is off Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in north Chapel Hill and is close to both Homestead Park and North Forest Hills Park.
The listing, which has had physical signs up around the community for weeks, describes Buddy as having rings on his tail, an orange spot on his right front leg, a clipped left ear and a black birth mark on his nose. The posting also says he is microchipped, which would provide permanent information about the animal if taken to a vet and scanned.
Carrboro Police encouraged anyone who has located or seen Buddy to contact the cat’s owner by calling 801-946-4082.
