Town officials in Hillsborough are advising residents to be aware of pressure changes in the water system that are likely to manifest during a utility transition period scheduled for this week.

Due to recent water line improvements, a shift in service sectors will take place beginning on Monday for customers in the Forest Ridge subdivision and Meadowlands business park.

According to a news release from the municipal government, water pressure for customers in those areas may temporarily increase by a maximum of 40 pounds per square inch.

The release also states that the shift will be carried out in stages, with the southern pressure utility zone expected to service every customer in those areas by the end of the week.
