Budgets, budgets, and more budgets this week: Orange, Durham, and Chatham County Commissioners are all holding budget-related work sessions and public hearings, along with the Hillsborough town board. No other local boards meet this week, with one exception: the Durham County School Board is meeting to continue their search for a new superintendent.

Here’s a rundown of local government meetings this week in Durham, Orange, and Chatham Counties.

Orange County

The Hillsborough Board of Commissioners is holding a budget workshop and public hearing at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 28. Click here for the full agenda, which also includes a discussion of water and sewer rates.

Orange County Commissioners have a pair of budget-related meetings this week: first a work session Tuesday, May 28, then a public hearing Thursday, May 30, both at 7 p.m. in the Southern Human Services Center. Click here for links to both agendas.
