Town officials in Hillsborough are now only a call away after a municipal telephone system replacement assigned direct numbers to key personnel.
The replacement eliminates the need to dial both a main number and an extension in order to reach officials in all departments of the municipal government.
A list of over 40 numbers for elected leaders and government employees that include the mayor and police chief has been posted online at hillsboroughnc.gov.
