****UPDATE: UNC Police released an image of the suspect on Friday afternoon.****

Campus police are investigating a report of a female victim being fondled in the Davis Library at UNC.

An Alert Carolina message said the incident occurred around 11 o’clock Thursday morning.

The suspect has been described as a male in his mid-40s, approximately 5’ 8” tall and estimated to be 200 pounds.

Authorities say the suspect was wearing a fisherman-style hat, a short-sleeved tan shirt with a black collar, dark pants, a gold watch and was carrying a green backpack.

Anyone with information regarding the identity or whereabouts of the suspect is urged to call 911.
