Pittsboro Police are reportedly conducting a homicide investigation after a woman was found dead in her apartment.

Authorities say 54-year-old Donna D. Todd was found at 25 Creekside Drive on Tuesday.

While no cause of death has been determined, according to WRAL, law enforcement officials are treating the case as a homicide.

The State Bureau of Investigation has been called in to assist Pittsboro Police. WNCN’s Derrick Lewis is reporting this is the second homicide Pittsboro officials have investigated over the last 15 years.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact Pittsboro Police or the SBI.
