Orange County Sheriff’s deputies say they’ve busted an elaborate marijuana growing operation in Hillsborough.

Deputies seized 956 plants from a home at 5010 Old NC 86 during a search on Tuesday.

35-year-old Richard Dylan Perry of of 486 Walnut Branch Rd. Chapel Hill in Chatham County was arrested on multiple charges including manufacturing and trafficking marijuana and maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances.

He’s being held in the Orange County Jail on a $450,000 bond.

Officers say the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with any information in reference to the investigation is asked to contact the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
