Two separate drug investigations in Chatham County led authorities to bring 10 charges against two suspects and seize heroin, cocaine and marijuana.

Authorities said in a release that deputies from the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search of a Pittsboro home in late May and recovered 86 grams of marijuana, three vials of vapor fluid and other drug paraphernalia. A separate incident beginning with a traffic stop on US Highway 64 on June 14 resulted in authorities seizing 30 grams of heroin and 2.2 grams of cocaine after a K-9 search, according to a release. Law enforcement took 25-year-old Quataris Barbour into custody and charged him with trafficking heroin by transportation, trafficking heroin by possession, possession with intent to sell or deliver heroin, felony possession of heroin, possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine and felony possession of cocaine.
