Two businesses recently opened their doors in Chapel Hill’s Governors Village, offering experiences for a variety of ages — a sensory gym for kids and a wine boutique for adults.
Minds of Every Kind Sensory Gym
Celebrating its grand opening May 21, Minds of Every Kind Sensory Gym offers an inclusive environment where children with disabilities can play, learn, and thrive.
Located at 50101 Governors Drive, the play space is designed to support neurodivergent kids and their sensory and developmental needs, with soft play, swings, fidget zones, and quiet corners, according to a release.
Open play encourages children ages 2-10 to explore the sensory gym at their open pace, while summer camps and preschool sessions offer structured play, hands-on learning, and sensory-friendly exercises. The gym also serves as a space for private birthday parties, designed for those who might find traditional venues overwhelming or overstimulating.
