Famed Durham restaurant Dame’s Chicken and Waffles is reportedly set to open its first Chapel Hill location.
Dame’s is reopening in downtown Durham on Monday, according to the News & Observer, after moving from its location on Main Street to a new development near the Durham Farmer’s Market.
Co-owner Randy Wadsworth told the newspaper that getting the Durham location back up and running is allowing the restaurant to look at new locations.
The Chapel Hill location will reportedly be taking the place of [B]Ski’s on Franklin Street, which recently closed.
The Franklin Street location will be operated by the owners of the Dame’s franchise in Cary.
In addition to Durham, Cary and the new Chapel Hill location, the restaurant also operates in Greensboro.
Wadsworth told the N&O that the restaurant was targeting April to open on Franklin Street.
