Henry Lister from United Church of Chapel Hill and Roberta Smith from Church World Service join the show to discuss this year’s Alternative Gift Market and Peacemaking Scholarship Concert. The Peacemaking Scholarship Concert raises for fund for area high school students who intend to continue their involvement in activism, and when in college will pursue an academic study that relates to non-violent conflict resolution, global community, social justice, ecology, and/or population studies. And the Alternative Gift Market, in its 34th year, serves as a fundraiser for Church World Service, the Inter-Faith Council (IFC), and over 30 other charitable groups within the Triangle and around the world.
