Carrboro Mayor Barbara Foushee joins 97.9 The Hill’s Brighton McConnell in the studio on Friday, February 23 for her weekly interview. Foushee shares her emotions and reactions to a powerful event from the past weekend: the dedication and unveiling of a historical marker honoring a lynching victim from 1898. Ahead of a major closure along Jones Ferry Road, the mayor also talks about some of the various projects happening on that street and the importance of that corridor to the town. Plus, Foushee also shares some early agenda items for next week’s town council meeting and details on some of the town’s final Black History Month events for 2024.
