Pittsboro Mayor Kyle Shipp spoke with 97.9 The Hill’s Andrew Stuckey on Tuesday, September 9. He discussed the recent business of the town council, including a final go ahead to moving 15-501 to bypass downtown Pittsboro. He also discussed some personnel changes, as the Public Information Officer and Emergency Manager will now be a director level position, and the town will hire a Communications Specialist. He also talked about adding a downtown support staff member, some upcoming town events, and more.
