UNC Police are investigating reports of two burglaries at Ram Village, according to an Alert Carolina message sent out on Tuesday.
The two incidents occurred on Thursday, December 17, in Ram Village 5 and Monday, December 21, in Ram Village 2.
The message sent to the campus community says that pry marks were found around residence hall room doors, which indicates forced entry.
Police are increasing patrols around residence halls over the winter break period and are asking students or employees on campus to make sure doors are locked when leaving a dorm room or office.
The message asks anyone who is currently off-campus for winter break who returns to find any illegal entry attempted to an office, room or suite, to contact the UNC Department of Public Safety.
If you see any suspicious activity on campus you are asked to contact 911. And if you have any information regarding the recent break-ins DPS officials are asking you to call 911 or the Chapel Hill – Carrboro – UNC CrimeStoppers at (919) 942-7515.
