A Chapel Hill woman died after being struck by a vehicle in Durham on Wednesday.
Durham Police identified 75-year-old Katherine Leonardis as the victim on Thursday afternoon.
Police say Leonardis was crossing West Morgan Street in front of the Carolina Theatre in downtown Durham shortly before 10:30 Wednesday night when she was struck. Police say Leonardis was crossing the street with her 75-year-old husband Santo at the time of the collision. He was treated for his injuries and released from the hospital.
Police say the couple was not in the pedestrian crosswalk when they were struck by a Toyota Camry driven by 57-year-old Betty Jo Love.
No charges had been filed as of Thursday afternoon, according to police.
