Event Details

Flooding is one of the most costly and frequent natural hazards in the United States, and its impacts are growing due to climate change, urban development, and aging infrastructure. In September’s cafe, Dr. Antonia Sebastian will explore how science, data, and community knowledge come together to help us better understand—and adapt to—evolving flood risks.

Designed for adults, Carolina Science Cafe is a free program that explores science topics making national and international headlines. Hosted by Morehead Planetarium and Science Center and Haw River Tap & Table, you’ll get the chance to meet the experts behind the work and enjoy great drinks. Light appetizers are available for all attendees. Bring your friends!
