Canva, Graphic Design, & AI for Beginners

In this seminar, we will cover the basics of graphic design, which is how to combine words and images into something with an impact on your audience.

We will use one of the most popular graphic design platforms in use today: Canva. Canva is used by many communications professionals in our jobs and is used in many other applications such as personal projects, branding, social media, and art.

Canva has now integrated aspects of AI into its program, and we will discuss how to use the AI features in Canva.

You will leave this class with a completed project of your choice:

• Social media or newsletter post

• Mood board

• Logo

• Branding guide

• Design for apparel or products

This class is open for beginners and students 12 .

About the Instructor: Shady Kimzey – Founder & Facilitator of Bad Art Company – is an independent artist and creative entrepreneur from Raleigh with over 10 years of experience in teaching and facilitation. They work with non-profits, government agencies, and businesses such as The Carrboro ArtsCenter, Orange County Arts Commission, Artspace, and the City of Raleigh.
