Chapel Hill: Grant Money for Transportation, Greenways, and More

Chapel Hill Mayor Pam Hemminger spoke with 97.9 The Hill’s Andrew Stuckey on Thursday, June 29th. She discussed a couple of major grants the town got–one for a feasibility study for the town’s “everywhere to everywhere” greenway expansion, and another grant for the town’s transportation plan. She also talked about a recent meeting of the Metro Mayors in which they discussed North Carolina’s growth with state leaders.  She also previewed some upcoming events, including Fourth of July festivities.

Orange County: NCDOT’s 15-501 Plan, Community Climate Action Grants, and More

Chair of the Orange County Commissioners Jamezetta Bedford spoke with 97.9 The Hill’s Andrew Stuckey on Wednesday, June 28th. She discussed a recent meeting with NCDOT, and how the state agency does not appear to be receptive to changing their reimagining of the 15-501 and I-40 interchange. She also discussed Community Climate Action Grant Applications, which are now open for Orange County. She also discussed an alternate way to obtain a passport in Orange County, by going through the Register’s Office.
