UPDATE: Chapel Hill Police shared an alert on Tuesday, Sep. 16 at 5 a.m. saying Kendrick Pierre was safely located. Below is the original story.
The Chapel Hill Police Department is seeking a 28-year-old resident reported missing after he has not been seen for more than two days.
An overnight alert by the police department asked the public for help in locating Kendrick Pierre of Chapel Hill. Pierre’s last known location by those who reported him as missing was in the area of Fordham Boulevard and Ephesus Church Road around 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sep. 11.

Pierre, a Black man, is described as 5-foot-8 and weighing around 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black and blue t-shirt, gray shorts, and a gray and blue backpack according to Chapel Hill Police. Sunday’s alert to the public said Pierre is “believed to have left willingly.”
Any community members with details or knowledge of Pierre’s whereabouts are encouraged to call 911 or contact the Chapel Hill Police Department’s office at 919-968-2760.
