Discovering New Worlds

A team of astronomers are reporting that they have found 197 planet candidates and 104 have been confirmed.  All of the planets are 20 to 50 percent bigger than Earth in diameter.

The planets are orbitting M dwarf star K2-72, found 181 light-years away in the direction of the Aquarius constellation.

Filtering Wi-Fi

Starbucks and McDonald’s have agreed to filter their Wi-Fi to prevent customers from accessing pornography.

A spokesman for McDonald’s said, “”We had not heard from our customers that this was an issue, but we saw an opportunity that is consistent with our goal of providing an enjoyable experience for families.”

Presidential Hair

A museum in Philadelphia is putting presidential hair on display.  You will be able to see hair that was on the heads of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, John Quincy Adams and Andrew Jackson.

The exhibit will be at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University through July 29.
