U.S. Representative David Price, the congressman for North Carolina’s 4th District, is set to join Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden for a campaign event in Raleigh on Monday.

Price, who has represented the district that holds all of Orange County, Raleigh and Cary since 1997, is one of several Democratic officials speaking at the event and campaigning for the former vice president in the ongoing election. Set to begin at 4:30 p.m., the drive-in event is part of the ‘Ridin’ with Biden’ rallies organized in North Carolina, with each featuring speakers specific to the region and discussing different topics.

According to a release from the Biden for North Carolina campaign, Monday’s event will discuss Biden’s plans for investing in the caregiving economy and potential tax cuts for the middle class. In addition to Price, other speakers expected to participate include Durham City Councilwoman Javiera Caballero, state senator Sam Searcy, District 18 senate candidate Sarah Crawford and state treasurer candidate Ronnie Chatterji.

Monday is the second straight day Biden has held campaign events in the Triangle. On Sunday, he visited Durham to hold a similar drive-in rally and a Todos Con Biden car parade to advocate for Black and Latinx voters to utilize early voting in North Carolina. The Biden campaign also reported the Democratic presidential candidate participated in a virtual discussion with African American faith leaders from around the country following the events.

Price is in the middle of his own campaign, running for his 14th re-election against Republican candidate Robert Thomas, who previously worked as an attorney and residential real estate appraiser.

The location for Monday’s ‘Ridin’ with Biden’ event has not been publicly announced.
