Wednesday was National Signing Day: a big day on the college football calendar, a big day for Larry Fedora and the Tar Heels…and also a pretty big day for UNC’s Rams Club.

The Rams Club hosted a “call-a-thon” on Wednesday in conjunction with Signing Day – they’ve done it each of the past three years – with dozens of volunteers making more than two thousand phone calls to last year’s season ticket holders, asking them to renew for 2016. (Among the callers were Chapel Hill Police Chief Chris Blue and Orange County Sheriff Charles Blackwood.)

Brian Chacos is the director of sales and fan development at the Rams Club and himself a former Tar Heel; he says the team’s success in 2015 has the fan base as excited as he’s ever seen.

Chacos joined Aaron Keck on WCHL this week.
