Three members of the North Carolina Tar Heel baseball team have been chosen as Freshmen All-America by Collegiate Baseball.

The outlet announced the team on Wednesday that included pitcher Gianluca Dalatri, Josh Hiatt and Ashton McGee.

Dalatri went 7-3 in 15 starts during his rookie campaign as a starter for the Diamond Heels. Hiatt worked the other end of games earning 13 saves and compiled a 0.29 ERA in Atlantic Coast Conference play.

Hiatt was also named one of five finalists for the 13th Annual National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Stopper of the Year Award on Wednesday. The award is given to the best closer in college baseball.

McGee started 57 games for the Tar Heels this season and was a key cog in the powerhouse lineup.

McGee was also recently named the ACC Freshman of the Year.
