Keeping with the giving spirit of the holidays, the ACC football coaches announced their All-Conference teams on Thursday–the third different set of All-ACC honors to be handed out over the last two weeks.

The conference itself released the first round of teams last week, while the Associated Press followed suit on Wednesday.

In the most recent batch of selections–voted on by the league’s 14 head coaches–UNC had eight players named to either the First, Second, Third or Honorable Mention teams.

Senior wide receiver Ryan Switzer was yet again the only Tar Heel chosen as part of the All-ACC First Team. His school-record 91 receptions for 1,027 yards gave him one of the most productive seasons for a receiver in UNC history.

Coaches chose center Lucas Crowley–a senior who won ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week three times in 2016–to be a part of the Second Team.

On the Third Team were quarterback Mitch Trubisky, tailback Elijah Hood, right tackle Jon Heck and cornerback Des Lawrence.

Switzer also qualified as a member of the Third Team as well, for his work as a punt returner.

Linebacker Andre Smith and receiver Bug Howard were each chosen to the Honorable Mention teams–rounding out the Tar Heel selections.

Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson took home the Player of the Year award, while Clemson linebacker Ben Boulware was picked as the league’s Defensive Player of the Year in the coaches’ eyes.
