The U.S. men’s national soccer team is all set to host Paraguay at the WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary next week, and will be bringing a former Tar Heel along with them.

Right back Eric Lichaj was among the 22 players named to the roster for the friendly, which will take place on March 27. It will be the team’s first game in Cary since a 1-1 draw against Jamaica in 2006.

Fittingly enough, Lichaj spent one season at UNC  in 2006 before signing a contract to play professionally for Aston Villa of the English Premier League.

He now plays for another English side, Nottingham Forest, where he was voted his team’s Player of the Season for the 2016-17 season.

For his career, Lichaj has made 14 appearances for the national team and has scored a single goal.
