Danny Green is enjoying another fine season with the San Antonio Spurs.  The team boasts the second best record in the NBA with 55 wins and only 10 losses.

On Thursday night, the Spurs defeated the Chicago Bulls in San Antonio, 109-101.

Green delivered a powerful exclamation point in the fourth quarter.  LaMarcus Aldridge missed a jump shot as the Spurs led 100-92.  Danny Green was there to back him.

With authority.

The former Tar Heel went into orbit for the ball as it bounced off of the rim, he corralled it with his right hand, and threw it down.  You should check it out.

Check it out again in the full highlights video.  The dunk, from multiple angles, begins at 2:09.

The dunk, while impressive, will never compare to most Tar Heels’ favorite Danny Green slam.  Of course, that one came at the expense of Duke’s Greg Paulus in 2008.

Danny Green began his NBA career with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2009.  After that one season in Cleveland, Green eventually landed in San Antonio.  When the Spurs won the NBA Championship in 2014, he became the third Tar Heel player to win both an NCAA Championship and an NBA Championship.  The other two were James Worthy and Michael Jordan.
