Airing Saturdays and Sundays at 6 PM, the Weekend Watercooler will cover the spectrum of local and state hot topics, with the feel of friends and colleagues gathering at the water cooler to discuss the issues of the day. Your host is Jean Bolduc.
“We want our guests to come from all over the political spectrum,” said Bolduc. “Governor McCrory, please come to Chapel Hill whenever you want. We’ll give you a fair hearing and you can use the bathroom without your birth certificate.”
The program will dive into issues from multiple angles and across generations having some fun and exploring some serious topics. “For the summer and fall, we’re going to be talking a lot about politics and about how we participate as citizens,” said Bolduc. “There’s a lot of work to do in taking responsibility for our schools, communities and government at every level. The first step is talking about conflicts and finding our way through to resolution and progress.”
Jean Bolduc is a graduate of the UNC School of Journalism and Mass Communication. She served as Chair of the Orange County Human Relations Commission and as President of the AIDS Service Agency of Orange County. She and her husband Rick have lived in Chapel Hill for more than 30 years. They have two sons, Brian and Robert.
