This week’s “If You Only Knew” with Dr. Debby Stroman is with Mr. Fred Whitfield, the President and Chief Operating Officer of the NBA Charlotte Hornets. Whitfield, a Greensboro native, has achieved the reputation as one of the most multi-skilled sport business executives. This high-achieving attorney has talents in negotiation, people management, media rights, salary cap analysis, and scouting. Whitfield is a graduate of Campbell and North Carolina Central universities. Former employment includes NIKE, Jordan Brand, and the NBA Washington Wizards. Whitfield is recognized for his charitable efforts in Charlotte and his own 31 year old Achievements Unlimited Basketball entrepreneurial venture. In addition, Dr. Stroman shares her thoughts on happenings in the sport industry.
