The Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) in the UK asked the internet to name a new polar research ship.  NERC is the UK’s main agency for funding and managing research, training and knowledge exchange in the environmental sciences.

The front-runner is Boaty McBoatface.

That is what happens when you ask the internet sometimes.

After the overwhelming response for Boaty led to this message from NERC, “Due to overwhelming interest, the Name Our Ship site is currently experiencing technical issues. We hope the agency responsible for the site will resolve these later today (22 March). Thank you for your continued support.”

Easter Bunny Brawl

A mall Easter Bunny brawled with a father after the man’s child slipped from a chair while getting her photo taken.  It went down at the Newport Centre in Jersey City, New Jersey.

See the battle.  Both the bunny and the father are facing charges.
